Growing up in the high desert of Reno, Nevada, with the majestic Sierra Nevada mountains to the west and the vast expanse of desert to the east, my surroundings influenced how I view the world. Long drives alone with just my truck camper and camera revealed to me the beauty in the simple yet complex nature of the seemingly barren landscape that is often overlooked by those who perceive it as empty.
This experience continues to influence my work today. Now based in Berlin, I bring the same depth of observation and appreciation for nuance to the urban environment. My photography emphasizes texture, shape, and value, uncovering the city's hidden layers of everyday life. Whether capturing the interplay of light and shadow in Berlin's historic architecture or the fleeting moments of human connection on its bustling streets, my work aims to reveal the extraordinary in the ordinary.
I hold a degree in Applied Sciences of Photography from Brooks Institute, Washington State, which has equipped me with a strong technical foundation and a refined artistic eye. My approach combines this technical expertise with a deep, intuitive understanding of my subjects, whether natural or urban.
